Summary
High dropout quotes and long duration of studies in the engineering degree programs have been criticized for quite some time. Many surveys indicate that the reason therefore lies in the curricular structure of the programs. In this paper the author discusses if the implementation of the modularized degree programs B. Sc. and M. Sc. for the course of studies of Geodesy has led to a substantial improvement and what would be necessary to lower the duration of studies and the drop out quotes.
