Summary
The Polish law of land consolidation has been established in 1982. It is exclusively focused on agrarian and economic objectives. Substantial means for the development and promotion of rural areas are available for several years in Poland due to the participation in the common European agriculture policy. For this reason, one objective of agriculture policy must be the advancement of the established law of land consolidation and to form a legal basis for integrated rural development procedures. The region (Wojewodschaft) Lesser Poland has realized two pilot projects to check possible topics and procedures of integrated rural development procedures. The planning of a corresponding procedure pursuant to the established Bavarian methodology has been realized in 2014 and 2015 in a cooperative project between the Bavarian Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the Wojewodschaft Lesser Poland.
