Summary
The recent COVID-19-related circumstances demand great efforts and flexibility affecting the world, Germany and geodetic education in particular. Since March 2020, an externally motivated change in teaching and training had to be implemented towards the application of digital, dynamic and agile methods. Even though not all challenges (e.g. fast internet connection, data access, communication channels) could be satisfactorily overcome quickly, the majority of those involved in geodetic teaching and training are satisfied with the achievements, as shown in the online survey conducted by the DVW e.V. ’ s Working Group 1 »Profession« during October and November 2020. This online survey focuses on dual and higher education as well as on individual professional development »legal traineeship for geo-spatial authoritative positions«. Most notably, effects are investigated on mobile work resp. home office, digital teaching-learning and communication settings, completeness of education of young surveyors, exams under corona conditions and satisfaction of individuals.
