Summary
Currently it is not possible to realize an integrated rural development by means of land consolidation accordingly the Polish Law on Land Consolidation. Based on an partnership agreement between the Wojewodschaft Lesser Poland and the Thuringian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Nature Protection (now Thuringian Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture) and according to the experience of the Free State of Thuringia a pilot project for the preparation of a »Land development procedure – land consolidation« has been implemented, taking into account an integrated approach on rural development. The terms of references were documented in a project description. The project shall be implemented within the »funding period 2014 to 2020« and pursues the goal to discover necessary amendments for a modernized Polish Land Consolidation Law taking into account an integrated approach. Furthermore, experiences should be generated for the establishment of an efficient land development administration in Lesser Poland.
