Summary
The geometrical quality of the measurement equipment for cadastral purposes needs to be checked and proofed on a regular base. Therefore the state of North Rhine-Westphalia required until now a yearly quality check of the component »distance measurement« on a pillar based calibration line. The new test procedure, which is described in this paper, is following a different philosophy. In the so-called system-check all relevant measurement components, which contribute to the result are proofed. In a two-dimensional test field with known coordinates a procedure called »Bochumer Verfahren« is applied. In a first step the tacheometer is setup and oriented via four known points (Free Station). In the next step additional points are measured and coordinated in the given coordinate system. The check is successfully passed when all horizontal distances between the nominal and coordinated points are smaller than 1 cm.
