Summary
Based on the climate protection plan the transformation of heat supply in cities to renewable energy is a particular challenge, involving different levels of planning and participation. In addition to measures to reduce heat demand of a building, the question arises what role a single building can play in a strategic energy planning. A strategic energy planning enables a framework, so communication between the building and the planning process has to be established. The paper outlines processes and communication between BIM and e-government standards in Germany (XBau, XFall, XPlanung) and shows further research and development needs. The combination and modification of the existing standards and procedures can lead to something new in the long term: an indispensable data basis for the heat planning in municipalities.
