Zusammenfassung
150 Jahre DVW | Der DVW e.V. besteht im Jahr 2021 seit 150 Jahren. Er ist der älteste und größte nationale Fachverband für Geodäsie, Geoinformation und Landmanagement. In diesem Beitrag werden die aktuellen Aufgaben und Aktivitäten des Vereins vor dem Hintergrund des sich auf vielfältige Weise manifestierenden Wandels des Faches und der Gesellschaft insgesamt beschrieben und diskutiert. Dabei werden auch die Perspektiven für die kommende Dekade aufgezeigt. Dies betrifft die Facharbeit wie im Bereich der beruflichen Fortbildung und der Vereinspublikationen, die Vereinsarbeit im Hinblick auf das Netzwerk der Mitglieder, die Zusammenarbeit mit den Schwesterverbänden, auch im Hinblick auf die Gewinnung von Berufsnachwuchs, und das internationale Engagement.

150 Years DVW | In 2021, DVW e.V. – German Association for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management – celebrated its 150th anniversary. DVW is the oldest and largest national professional association in its field of expertise and competence. In this contribution, the tasks of DVW according to the statutes as well as its present structure and activities are presented. The ongoing changes in both profession and society are considered both as background and drivers of present activities and strategic development. Digitalisation and technological innovation as well as the increased requirements regarding communication and participation may serve as examples. Moreover, the perspectives of DVW for the next decade are addressed. This includes topical work like in continuing professional education and respective publications, the association’s activities with respect to the members’ network, the cooperation with the sister associations, also regarding the attraction of young professionals, and the international commitment.
