Zusammenfassung
Summary
The Dutch railway network is in constant maintenance, due to intensive use and weak bedding. These maintenance works and other rail construction projects require current knowledge of the rail geometry. Mobile laser scanning has been established as suitable survey method. The Dutch company GeoNext has developed an efficient process for quality improvement and modelling of this data. The rail modelling is performed fully automatically using static scans for geo-referencing of the mobile scans, a semi-automatic process is used for modelling of relevant objects.
