Zusammenfassung
Im Rahmen des Bologna-Prozesses verfolgt die deutsche Hochschulpolitik das Ziel der Angleichung der Bildungsabschlüsse im europäischen Raum u. a. durch Einführung strukturierter, zweistufiger Studienabschlüsse Bachelor und Master. Diese Umstellung auf Bachelor und Master bedarf einer disziplinenspezifischen Gestaltung und Akzeptanz; sie hat auch im Vermessungswesen bereits an einzelnen Hochschulen begonnen. In der Berufspraxis werden Bachelor- und Masterabschlüsse bislang noch skeptisch betrachtet, worin sich nicht zuletzt ein Defizit an inhaltlicher Auseinandersetzung mit der neuen gestuften Struktur äußert. Es ist daher zu erwarten, dass in den Studiengängen des Vermessungswesens alte und neue Abschlüsse noch über einen längeren Zeitraum nebeneinander existieren werden. Zur Gewährleistung eines hohen Ausbildungsniveaus in den neuen Studiengängen wurden Standards zur Qualitätssicherung in der Ausbildung erarbeitet. Diese Kriterien, die die Basis für die Akkreditierung von Bachelor- und Master-Studiengängen durch unabhängige Akkreditierungsagenturen bilden, werden vorgestellt und kurz erläutert.
Summary
The Bologna Declaration signed jointly by 29 European Ministers of Education on 19 June 1999 lists the main objectives that the Ministers considered essential for the creation of a European Higher Education Area and for the promotion of European higher education worldwide. The German higher education reform largely agrees with the aims of the Bologna Declaration. A central issue for increasing the international compatibility and competitiveness of European higher education is the introduction of a new two-cycles degree system with Bachelor and Master degrees. In the field of Geomatics, Surveying and Geodesy some universities have started to develop Bachelor and Master courses a few years ago. Of particular importance is the acceptance of the new degrees by the labour market. This is not yet achieved. Therefore it is to be expected that the traditional German Diploma programmes will exist alongside with new Bachelor and Master degree courses for some time. To assure a high educational level in the new two-cycles degree programmes educational quality standards have been developed. These standards are the basis for the accreditation of the Bachelor and Master degree programmes carried out by independent accreditation agencies. The corresponding criteria are presented and briefly explained.
