Summary
The realization of agricultural-structural advantages, which consist of various components, is most often a main or at least a secondary objective of land-consolidation arrangements even today. Personal contributions, which are increasingly incurred by the tenant, can be a heavy burden for the parties concerned, despite high public subsidies from the EU, federal and state government. In the following, using an arrangement from Northern Hesse as an example, it is shown that by changing the surface geometries, tremendous advantages of up to over 100 €/ha*a for agricultural use and up to 70 €/ha*a for grasslands can be realized.
