Zusammenfassung
Der Landkreis Nürnberger Land liegt im Zentrum der Metropolregion Nürnberg. Er ist sowohl durch deren gute Industrie- und Gewerbestruktur als auch durch eine hervorragende Verkehrsinfrastruktur geprägt. Letztere liegt an der zentralen Lage in Europa, die Nürnberg bereits im frühen Mittelalter zu einem Knotenpunkt internationaler Handelswege machte. Dagegen gibt es aber auch ländliche Bereiche mit einer reizvollen Kulturlandschaft, die sowohl für den Biotop- und Artenschutz als auch für die landschaftsgebundene Erholung und Freizeitgestaltung von großer Bedeutung sind. Aufgabe der Ländlichen Entwicklung ist es daher, sowohl die Lebens- und Arbeitsbedingungen der dort lebenden Menschen zu verbessern als auch die einzigartige Kulturlandschaft mit ihren geschichtsträchtigen Orten zu erhalten. Der Beitrag stellt die hierzu entwickelten Strategien und Erfolgsfaktoren vor, die sich auf vergleichbare Regionen übertragen lassen.
Summary
The administrative district ›Nürnberger Land‹ is located in the heart of the metropolitan region of Nuremberg. It is influenced by its good industrial and commercial structure as well as by its well-developed infrastructure of transportation. This is due to its central location in Europe. In the early Middle Ages, Nuremberg was already a hub of international trade routes. On the other hand, there are also rural areas with a beautiful landscape. This is of great importance for the habitat and species conservation and recreation in the countryside. It is the task of rural development to improve living and working conditions of local people and to preserve the unique cultural landscape with its historical sites. The article presents factors of strategy and success that can be applied to comparable regions.
