Zusammenfassung
Schule und Landesvermessungsamt kooperieren seit Jahren in vielfältiger Weise. Insbesondere in Sachen GIS an Schulen ist man in Baden-Württemberg gemeinsam aktiv. Dies soll hier gezeigt werden. Es wird auf die Bildungspläne der allgemein bildenden Gymnasien in Baden-Württemberg eingegangen, in denen GIS im Fach Geographie fest verankert ist. Die ersten Kooperationsmaßnahmen werden beschrieben. Deutlich gemacht wird auch, dass erst ein Paket mit GIS-Know-how, kostenlosen amtlichen Geobasisdaten, Fachdaten, einer erschwinglichen GIS-Software und Standard-Hardware zu schnüren ist, um GIS als Unterrichtstool nachhaltig zu etablieren. Im Mittelpunkt dabei steht eine Fortbildungsstrategie für Lehrerinnen und Lehrer. Fakten zeigen, wo wir heute in Baden-Württemberg mit GIS an Schulen stehen. Beispiele von GIS-Projekten an Schulen runden das Thema ab.

For years two institutions have been cooperating with each other in a variety of ways: school and regional surveyor’s office. This should be shown here. Attention is paid to the education plans of grammar schools in Baden-Württemberg, in which GIS is an essential and permanent part of the subject »geography«. The first cooperation measures are described. Apart from this, it is made clear that in order to establish GIS as a lasting tool for school, many things are required: know-how about GIS, free official geographical basic data as well as specialized data, and both an affordable GIS software and a standard hardware. On top of it all, an education programme for teachers is the centre of attention. Facts illustrate the present state of GIS at schools in Baden-Württemberg.
